Delta Diary: Module Three Take Two

Well, it’s come to this. I’m back where I was four years ago as I look on at Module three staring me back in the face. I’ve been delayed, partially by changes in my life, by other people but mostly myself. I didn’t do as good a job as I should have last time and while I can blame a lack of resources…it was partially me as well. This time will be different.

I know that I’ve become a far better teacher since back then, module two did a good job of that but so has working with great teacher along with some challenging and growth situations.

While I felt nervous and excited as I prepared for module two, this time I feel calm, confidence and determination. That’s not to say I’m not looking forward to the task ahead, I remember finding module two challenging (with time management and finding time in my busy weeks to focus on reading and writing) but also highly stimulating and enjoyable. Sometimes I can suffer from having a wide range of teaching books to read…but no final push to actually get me to. It’s why I love preparing for training session and workshops, it gives me that push I need, and so will Module three.

I’ve chosen to look at young learners again, partially because I have already built up some background knowledge from researching and writing about them last time, but also because it is an area which I find reward (if difficult) to teach and is where many of the opportunities are.

I really don’t know what I’ll do with Delta Diaries this time. Last time I attempted module three I posted once, stating I’d post once more…so if I do more than one, it will be an improvement. I suspect you can predict that will happen. So here we go, one more time.

  1. Good luck! Are you doing it as a course at all or all self-managed? My friend is getting feedback on her stuff from a tutor at IH Wroclaw.
